I'm trying to play ftb with my brother, i set up a single player world and press 'Open to LAN'. After i do this it says 'Local Game Hosted On Port (Different Numbers Every time.)'. But the lan world does not show up on my brothers mulitplayer list. When he opens up a world and again presses 'Open To Lan' it shows up to me but i am unable to connect to it. Anyone know whats wrong with what i'm doing?
(We both are on the same router connection.)

You will have to set up port forwarding as well as a static IP in your router. this site has good instructions for a lot of different routers.

You shouldn't have to port forward for a LAN connection. The LAN server should be on the same port every time. Port forwarding is mainly used for connections from outside your LAN to connect to your server

Try making him do a direct connect to the ip adress and port it shows when you open to LAN.
