Lagging for 1 second every 10 seconds.

Hi I am playing direwolf20 1.0.11 and it keeps lagging for 1 second every 10 seconds. I have set the ram to 7gb on the FTB launcher. Is there any thing I can do to fix this

I don't think you need to dedicate 7 gb to minecraft. 2.5-4 is enough.

Is java using your nvidia card or your integrated one?

Edit: Don't give that much ram to the launcher or you will starve your system and could cause the issues you are having.

Make sure you are using the jvm arguments from the thread linked below.

That is because when playing on a server most of the hard work is done by the server and not your system.
