Hello,

I'm running a Minecraft server for the first time and I'm having some issues with lag. The lag that I'm getting is only while no one is in the Nether. If I leave the Nether the lag starts immediately. While standing in the Nether if I run cofh tps I get ~15ms overall and 5ms for the Nether. When I leave the nether it jumps dramatically to 150 - 300 ms for the nether. The Overworld is still only about 10 - 20 ms.

I'm running the server on an Amazon AWS EC2 server.

It is an Infinity 1.2.0 server with IguanaTinkerTweaks added on.

3 people are playing on the server.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

Thank you, Slind. I got warmroast working fine and it seems to be pointing to thermal dynamics. I'll need to investigate further to get the lag fixed, but at least now I've got another tool to use.

We encountered the same issue yesterday after upgrading to 1.3.0 even tho you mention you are having the same issue with 1.2.1
We removed every machine & pipe from the nether and yet when nobody is in the nether the MS spikes up and lags the server.
I noticed when you use the /chunkloaders command that when you fly around the nether and then leave it , it has some issues unloading those areas.
Which somehow doesn't happen with the server when we are running our savegame on 1.2.1 but instantly happens with 1.3.0

It seems like a weird issue which can't be nailed down to the pack version since you have it in 1.2.1 and we got the issue in 1.3.0 :/

We disabled the ore dic upgrades until this issue has been solved. The sad thing is that it had a similar issue in 1.6. I thought that all the time that went into the new 1.7 build would address the issue and solve it instead of making it even worse, BUT I haven't tested the more up to date builds so it could have been fixed.

I ended up removing the old nether and rebuilding it. It seems to have fixed the lag for now.

Thank you for your help. :)
