Lag/fps issues.

I have a decent computer that runs normal minecraft just fine even with all graphics settings to max(except render distance, which i keep at 12-16), but whenever I play the monster pack my game constantly stutters, freezing every few seconds, even with all my graphics settings on absolute minimum. Is there anyway to fix this, such as using a mod or a tweak in the files?

give it more ram?? or less if your giving it to much

whats your computer specs?

windows 7, 64bit java, 60gig internal and 250gig external hard drive, idk what kinda ram. how would i increase ram allowance?

under settings in the launcher around 4 is good amount

Fast craft works wonders.

fast craft helps sure but if you dont have the ram set for it nothing is going to help

Too much ram causes lag. It builds up loads too much, and cant unload it as fast as it loads, which clogs it.
