Killing wither in running red ?

What is the best way to kill wither ? I am planing on building a platform out of obsidian and that it there , then kill it with beast sword and potions . Is there any better way ?

Sounds like the best way to me... I am gonna do something similar, but have a "box" about 10 thick of cobble, then surround that with obsidian, and kill the thing in that
