hi i know this dumb to ask about it. do severs all way reset they map or do some keep on the same map?

It depends on the owner of the server. Some reset every time there is an update to minecraft. Some reset every couple of months to keep the economy from going stagnant. Some keep the same map from patch to patch. Again it depends on the server owner and the demands of the users if the owner decides to listen to them.

If you are worried about loosing your progress talk to the owner of the server about the possibility of a reset.
