just started: logging problems

i keep on trying to log in but it always says that my mine craft account user name or password is incorrect how do u fix this? plus the way i usually log in on mine craft is my email since account is a mojang one, does this affect?

First ensure that your minecraft account it premium, as in paid for the game. The launcher will not let you install the packs if you have not paid for the game. Sorry had to put that there. As for using the e-mail if you have migrated your account to a mojang account or purchased the game recently then you already have a mojang account and should be using your e-mail address you used when you signed up.
