Reminds me a bit of that narcotics mod that spawned strange nodes of... weirdness once you had taken enough of certain drugs. That also did matrix looking asci effects. But that's not in Infinity afaik, so...

There is a mod that does this exact thing and I have seen that exact effect in screen shots before. No clue what it is called, I think something drug related. Anyhow, I would assume someone is trying to prank you, either by changing the texture pack or installing that mod.
