First off, it is hyperbole or exaggeration, not irony.
Second, IRL you can say verbally what the OP said and use tone and inflection to make the hyperbole clear. In a typed internet message you have to actually choose your words much more specifically to make the hyperbole obvious. The OP did exactly the opposite and kept the statement so direct and simple that absolutely no hyperbole was indicated.

If you didn't understand that that was a hyperbole you have an IQ lower than that of the average carrot. 'Nuff said.

Actually, it wasn't hyperbole. Hyperbole requires intent, and the OP seriously believed they had one quadrillion cobble and didn't intend the statement as hyperbole, so it wasn't. It was a mistake, not hyperbole.

But seeing as there was no way to get that amount barring maths errors it was logical to assume that it was a hyperbole. If you start calculating everything people tell you before deciding they were joking then you have a problem.
