Java too much CPU usage AND Download fail at Texture Stitching FTB Infinity Pack

  • Tech Support section is for getting help with FTB related problems. If there's a repeatable issue that can be labeled as a bug, then please use the issue tracker for the pack or the app at GitHub issue trackers - If there's no repository for a pack that means that the pack is old and/or will not be updated. Bugs for older packs will not be fixed, unless they are critical.

Title:
Java too much CPU usage AND Download fail at Texture Stitching FTB Infinity Pack
Launcher Version:
1.4.7
Modpack:
FTB Infinity
Modpack Version:
1.5.1
Log Link:
Details of the issue:
Ok so put it shortly (because I dont have the log link because I dont think it will help in this case) I basically start to download the modpack because its my first time trying to play this pack and everytime it downloads just fine up into the point where it switches to Texture Stitching. At first, the bar and numbers raise fast by the hundreds and what not and by around 6,8, or 10k textures out of 13k it begins to increase by one I left it on for 4 hours doing this and made about 1k progress from 8k before killing minecraft in frustration I have dedicated 4GB of RAM to this and it seems to help to get to 10k textures but after it drops down again to just 1 texture being "stitched" every 5 or so seconds . Any Solutions??? Anyone ever encounter this issue??

Also, for my second issue which I believe is at fault because the modpack (maybe, hopefully not, is my CPU usage on Javaw.exe is 80 to 90% the momery usage is freaking ridiculous any solutions to this??? Yes I already updated to most recent Java and its 64-bit like my OS and dedicated ram same thing still happens

Help me Please!

Have you tried an older version of Forge without the loading screen? What storage device is your FTB folder on? It sounds like a Forge bug or your hard drive is slowing down massively.

I seemed to have solved the download being extremly slow so now I can play as for my CPU usage im not sure to fix the texture stitching taking 3 years i dedicated like 1gb of RAM to the launcher

Don't touch the memory amounts for the launcher, just set 4GB for launching packs themselves. Also untick the box that says 'Show Console?'. The console has issues with consuming vast amounts of memory and CPU when left open for long periods of time.
