Java timing out when downloading modpack

Java timing out when downloading modpack​

Details of the issue:

Forgive me for not uploading the link but it goes as so:

Error while downloading modpack: java.net.SocketTimeoutException: Read timed out
Resuming download from offset 45218405
Resume started successfully

This repeats over and over until the Modpack is downloaded which of course takes much longer than it should due to the constant stopping and starting.

Ive been seeing people say that this could be cause by an antivirus software however im rather unsure how i would go about checking it and i have also removed the antivirus so its just windows firewall but it made no difference.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

From the information you have provided it seems as though you have poor connection to the download center for the launcher. Some general things to try: reseting computer, reseting wireless card (if you have one), reseting router, or reseting the modem. If none of these work, then it may be that your ISP just has a poor connection line between you and the FTB download servers.
