Java timed out problem FTB unleashed

Hi

I am having some problem with ftb and playing on online servers, the SSP works fine,

the console comes up with the " java.net.SocketTimeoutException: Read timed out"

with these lines following

I have tried;
deleting java and re-adding
deleting ftb and re-adding
turning the internet off and rebooting
turned firewall off


im out of ideas, can anyone else help?

Java version/update, bit type: 7 update 45 64x
Anti-malware software: norton, though not the problem as i get the same problem with it off
Location you're downloading from: ftb offical site
Launcher version: v1.1.3

Your problem is probably norton.

yeah i removed it just now, i now have AVG and its still not working? any ideas?

Now, AVG is your problem.
You went from one problematic antivirus to another.

what would you suggest?

Use Avast. It's free, and isn't problematic.

Chances are, this won't fix your problem though.
