Issues with Timing Out constantly + Frame Lag

Hi everyone,

Just to apologize in advance, im really new when it comes to anything FTB and Minecraft, so I'm sorry if it seems like I have no idea what i'm doing because....I dont.

I'm playing the FTB Revelation modpack with my brother and he hosts the game from his PC using Open To LAN. We've been running into issues where I constantly microstutter followed up with bouts of random non-server lag. It constantly says waiting for server with really bad reaction times and sometimes it completely times me out. I can't really play at this point, so I wanted to see if there was any info on this.

For reference, I have 8GB of memory allocated to the modpack. the Processor im using is an AMD Ryzen 7 3750H.

Any help on this would be appreciated. Thanks for your time!

I would say the problem probably lies in your brother's PC since he is the host machine/server. I could be wrong since I don't have much experience with this issue but it would be a good place to start while waiting on someone else to reply with better knowledge of this situation.
