I am playing on ftb ultimate and have been trying to get rusty bees for days now. The new says diligent and resilient but I am not getting it ever ! I have tried resilient and meadows also. I have tried everything and can't find any thing on this issue. I hope someone has been able to make this bee on the mod pack and can share the knowledge with me. That would be great.

Are you breeding with a Resilient queen and a Diligent drone? You probably know this already, but just in case.
A 5% chance of a successful mutation is pretty low, so it's best to get a full-on alveary running with three mutator blocks, and if you use uranium ore you'll get an almost guaranteed successful mutation. Playing around with apiaries is fine for starter mutations but it's painfully slow for ones like rusty, tarnished, corroded, etc.

Ya I have. I only used one mutator though. I'll try 3. I kept getting these bauxite bees over and over[DOUBLEPOST=1414065954][/DOUBLEPOST]Since Greg Tech has bees with same mating pair it's such a pain :/

Tartarus.. I mean at work. Same thing really.
Make sure you have a pure diligent and pure resilient pair, not diligent-resilient hybrids.
Use Extrabees serums to bump up the fertility (wintery bees have 4x drones)
Use mutators to bump up the chance [soul frames in apiary, mutator in alvery]- personally I find the frames easier.
Also have a few pairs breeding at the same time.

I found it fairly easy with 4 pairs at max fertility- 16 drones gives pretty good odds.
Remember a mutation will reset the fertility, you'll want to serum them again when you get one.
You'll get a lot of hybrids [bauxite-diligent ect], just keep refining them until you get a pure bauxite.
