Welcome both of you. First have to ask if you paid for the game. If you have then try using the e-mail address and password you used when you paid for the game. If you did not pay for the game then you need to as FTB merely mods the game it requires the base game which you need to pay for.

Yes, for first and second quesion. I have premium account, and migrate to mojang account. Native client is work, and FTB version of game work too but *only* at my home PC. Toubles detected only on other PC after change my HDD. Maybe it's trouble of system hardware or software or user rights. I don't know...

Could it be a firewall issue? At home it works ok so where is the computer where you can't login? If it's a corporate (office) network, it could very well be restricted by the sysadmin or some proxy issues.

Same thing here...continue to get the "Invalid username or password" error.
I have a legit account.
This all just started today for me
I have no problem at all logging into my vanilla client.
My pastbin http://pastebin.com/95dLNSSt

I have:
  1. Checked to insure the login servers were up (they are)
  2. deleted and recreated my profile (x5)
  3. deleted and reinstalled FTB (and the configs folder in Apps\Roaming)
  4. deleted and reinstalled vanilla
  5. deleted and reinstalled both FTB and vanilla together
  6. migrated my minecraft account to Mojang
  7. reset my password (x2)
  8. turned off my firewall completely
  9. tried logging on a different PC (same issue)
  10. I've rebooted my PC every time I reinstall
From what I'm seeing it's feels like the client isn't even actually checking, the error box pops up very instantly, and my leds on my network switch aren't even blinking (I know that's not a true indication)
I'm kinda out of ideas....anything I'm missing?

Just to be sure. If you've migrate your account it now should be your e-mail address as your name, at least to log in to FTB. You did not say if you'd tried it.

If you anyone finds out please reply with how you solved it. Hope everyone gets it resolved soon.

Yep I did change my username in my profile, no joy there.

However......all of a sudden, I started logging in. No reason why it quit working in the first place, and no reason why it started working again. Go figure.

Unhandled exception in Thread[AWT-EventQueue-0,6,main]: java.lang.NullPointerException

no, firewall is forwarded all tcp and udp packet from my machine, windows firewal also turned off or allow all mode

I set language and
Logging in...

That's a java error....have you tried uninstalling java and reinstalling? Making sure you get the latest? You may just have a bad install on the new HDD...

Having the same login problem on both of our computers today. At a loss for what's going on.

- FTB worked fine for both of us last night.
- Yes, we have legit accounts
- Logging into the vanilla launcher works fine.
- Logging into the minecraft.net website works fine.
- Tried updating the profile by re-typing the password
- Tried creating a new profile
- Tried removing all profiles and creating a new one
- Tried changing download location (not that I expected that to make a difference).
- Tried disabling Windows Firewall completely

In all cases, it just says "Invalid username or password."

Pastebin here, but it doesn't give much info:
http://pastebin.com/JRJV7TUz

I also was notified of a Java update available AFTER this started and I rebooted. Updated Java, but no change.

I also noted there were pending Windows 7 updates in queue today. I installed them and rebooted, but again they were just pending when this started and hadn't installed yet. I'm just trying to think of anything different from yesterday.

Any other ideas of what to try would be great. Been stuck on this for the past hour or so now and running out of ideas.

[Edit: Also tried deleting %appdata%\ftblauncher\, re-downloading the client, and pointing it to a brand new FTB folder. Same results though. The launcher works, finds the mod packs, texture packs, etc... but then errors out on username/password before attempting to download anything.

Isn't there an offline mode? Even vanilla launcher has an offline mode.
]

[Edit2: Came back a couple of hours later and it still wasn't working. I looked around the forums for any updates, connected to the irc chat to ask around there, and tried it again and was able to log in with no changes. I don't dare restart right now to see if it's stable, but at least I got in for now. Definitely something going wrong with the authentication somehow...]

Holly shit, it's worked!
my solution: move all FTB files form "%home%/FTB Launcher" to root dir of system disk "c:/FTB/FTB_launcher.exe" and gamedata in "c:/FTB/FTB"

check "spaces" in file path, and maybe mountpoint whole disk as userdir folder in NTFS afect.
