So, I hate to be that person that is always on here, and never able to fix their own problems with ftb.. Butttt i can never seem to fix my own errors!?

So i just recently upgraded to windows 8.1 and i have a really bad internet connection if any, so instead of re-downloading everything i just got my friend to give me all of his files. Considering we have done this plenty before to be able to play together i didn't see an issue...

And now 4 hours later, i persistently get this error upon launch and was wondering...What do i do?!?!?!?
Code:

I got what I think is a similar problem. I use windows 8.1 got a Nvidia geforce 360m card that wont uppdate to the latest drivers for some reason. I run ftb in windows 7 compability mode, got the latest java 7, update 51 or what's it called, have no older versions of java installed and still cant launch monster v 1.0.5
the errors i get is:

Did you also move the Feed The Beast folder? You should not have it it in the Program Files folder that will cause you way too many head-aches than it is worth. Try C:\ or your Desktop.

that explains alot. the file isnt found because it couldn't be created because the launcher didn't have permissions to write to the program files directory (unless you're running it as admin all the time)
also, going by this at the end (Åtkomst nekad) you're better just sticking it in C:\FTB because apparently java has problems with some non-english regions

You can do either. The only uninstall is a manual one. Be sure to change the 'Install folder...' in the Options tab. Then close and reopen the launcher so the setting takes effect. Be sure to backup your saves though.

:p Locked
OP is a graphics driver issue.

The other one is not. Please make sure you post your own thread. I'm trying to lock all solved problems, regardless of "same problem" or not, and yours, @Lansgren was not the same as OP's.
