I have Windows 8.1, Java 64 and 32 bit, 8gb of ram, and McAfee Software for security. Can anyone tell me why I have issues downloading any of the modpacks. All it tells me is "There is an error downloading this modpack."
It maybe that mcafee is blocking you from downloading. If not then try setting the download location to something other than automatic. To set this go to the advanced config options. Make sure to close a restart the launcher each time you change it.
If that does not work then follow the basic troubleshooting guide linked below. The if you still have issues then follow the second link regarding logs.
