Is there way to repair mossed tinkers tool, without having it on the hotbar? (Direwolf20 pack)

i just wonder if such thing is possible.(playing direwolf20 pack, Tinkers Construct hammer)

i found out there is bug for flux upgrade, it recharging on hotbar, so i had no choice but to use moss upgrade or use ingot to repair my TC hammer.

the problem is that my hotbar is already over crowded and i do not have extra space to carry my mossed hammer just for repair.

i do not really want to waste tons of ingot to repair the tool, so i want to know if there is way to let the moss auto repair to work without having the tool in my hotbar or inventory.

is there such way? i tried using tool rack(bibliocraft), but it did not work.

You can build an energetic infuser from Thermal Expansion to recharge the flux. Not sure what other mods have a block for charging tools in DW20 pack.

I thought the tool racks worked in the past. Not sure now.

there is bug for flux upgrade TC tool. i carry flux capacitor for my flux sword and pickaxe, my first thought was to make hammer with flux upgrade. then i noticed whenever i mine with TC flux hammer it recharges the flux from flux capacitor and flux hammer cant mine while its being recharging... so even if i have the fastest mining hammer it does not matter because of this bug. it has to be 100% charged to mine again, or i cannot carry flux capacitor for recharge while i'm mining.

I have had the same problem, but it is simply solved. All you need to do is turn the flux capacitor off when you mine and then turn it back on again and hit a random block with the tool to get it to charge.

You mossed a flux item? Well beyond that Thaumcraft and Ars Magica both have item repairers ars I believe is the easiest to get and it runs off free energy.

I have had the same problem, but it is simply solved. All you need to do is turn the flux capacitor off when you mine and then turn it back on again and hit a random block with the tool to get it to charge.

Wonder if keeping it in an inventory like an ender pouch or backpack might also prevent it since it isn't in the player inventory perse.

Oh wow. I guess that's cool, not sure if it's supposed to work that way i.e. if mDiyo wanted TiCo repairing to use its own mechanics only, but I imagine that the different repair mechanics were just a consequence of other decisions and not a deliberate lock-in. What's the TT item that repairs? I'm using the AM2 thingy for my repairing needs at the moment.

Thaumic restorer. It uses ordo, fabrico, or instrumentum as fuel with ordo being the least effective and instumentum the most, with the essentia piped in to the side with the # on it (don't think it can just draw in essentia like the lamps or furnace but it has been a few versions)

i'm not sure how exposure to direct sunlight i relevant here(well it does boost repair rate but it's not mandatory).
also, from what i can remember, moss tools don't repair themselves when in AE networks` storage cell, so you might want to take that into account.

The flux capacitor can be turned on and off with a right click. It doesn't recharge items when you have it turned off. However, that's not really the best way to recharge flux items anyway. You are better off using the Energetic Infuser with an ender chest setup to recharge your items.

don't want to hijack the thread. Along the same lines, is there a mod that can add a second hotbar? to the stiles of WoW gui mods.

TiCo knapsack? that should be considered player's inventory and i'd swear my tools recharge in it.

What about putting the item in an item frame outside. You don't have it 'on' you but it would be in the sun and recharge (provided that works =p)
