Is there a way to retrogen ores without CofH core?

A few mods, such as Thaumcraft, can retrogen their own ores. However, for regenning ores for all your mods at once, CoFH is the only thing I know for sure can do it. CustomOreGen may be able to do so as well; I don't know much about it.
