Is there a way to recover a world that u deleted?

I deleted one of my FTB worlds accidentally and it is not in the saves file is there still a way to recover it?

I don't know how Minecraft deletes worlds, but you might as well use a file recovery program like Recuva in case you emptied your Recycle Bin...
