Is there a way to add borders/walls in 1.7.10?

Currently starting up a new LAN Direwolf20 1.7.10 server; can't for the life of me figure a way to prohibit players from venturing too much for the liking.
i know of a plugin worldborders but doesn't seem to have a version for 1.7.10. i need something that will stop world gen but doesn't conflict with a new dimension made from another mod.

Tinkers' Construct had an option for this in 1.6.4. I can't seem to find it in 1.7.10. You could always ask boni to add it back in if it's been removed or dropped.

Also, not as relevent, but something to look forward too; The feature is added in a 1.8 snapshot as a command, but it does generate the world outside of the border.
