Is there currently a server the revolves around danger?

What I am looking for, is a server where I have to build, I can't just have a little dirt hovel and be fine. I want Greg Tech and what not, for more of a challenge, but I do want to have to worry about walking outside at night. I want to feel that" OHSHIT!" feeling when I turn a corner and come face to face with a skeleton.

Does anyone know of a server/modpack with those qualities?

Infernal mobs, primitive mobs, and Ars Magica combined can lead to some quite nasty enemies.

I'm not sure that there are any servers out there that support all three, though.

I know of but one. It's kind of hard to remember the address to, so here's what I do to figure it out when I need it.
Open the run dialog(assuming you are on windows for this whole thing). Type in "command". After you have opened the command prompt type in "ipconfig", and the second line it prints out is the correct IP address.

Thanks for that, I haven't seen a good localhost joke in awhile. Unless you're actually serious.

My omega dawn server has Zombie Awareness, Infernal Mobs, Primitive Mobs and is set to Hard Difficulty. The overworld is just wasteland biomes. Took a few weeks, but gameplay is still pretty easy now that resources have been gathered and farms made. Twilight Forest access was limited to Stargates, which you had to find/build. After that Mystcraft was added to make all biomes available.
