I just thought, MFFS area defence stations can be set up to kill people who come in to their range so those might be useful as well, especially if you are already going with a forcefield.

I really didnt want to give griefers yet more tools in case most have not considered this yet, wither boss breaks all/any block in its way to a player so easy to work out how to use that.

BTW Dravarden your insulting comment was uncalled for, why becouse I know something you missed is a reason to be insulting, hmm in that case it would explain many of your previous replies, I have noticed many many topics that you are lets say less than helpful to the point of being insulting to people that may have politely posed an apposing view, is there some valid reason maybe medical for this or just some form of grandeur delusion.

what insult are you talking about guy?

and the wither doesn't break them, just removes them for a sec and exits.

I'm not really much of a side-taker, but it seems to me like you've got a beef with Drav in another thread.
This is not that "other" thread. This is this thread. He hasn't wronged you or anybody, there's no reason to question his medicinal sanity or anything he says about a different thread.
I have tested it will smash 3 deep as if it was cobble, I refer to 1.4.7 I have not tested in 1.5+ yet, Update I just tested in 1.5.2 wither boss can not break warded blocks or glass now.
Did you apologize for saying
you sir are incorrect.
???
It seems to me like more of a "less-nice" post. That was
lets say less than helpful to the point of being insulting to people that may have politely posed an apposing view

Is there a building block in Feed the Beast that cannot be broken or moved except by the player who placed it and server admins?. If not there needs to be one. I heard about Multiblocks, I thought that the mechanics of Multiblocks could be used to create a security system for SMP servers to help players keep others out of their houses.
What exactly are you trying to protect your house from?
Do you have a greifing issue? If you can hide your house (lava and certain ore blocks prevent x-raying), you should be safe from others. Limitations? How far are you in-game? Does this home need to survive a nuke/tnt? Did you like the suggestions of others using warded stone/glass/doors? How about a moving base? MFFS and RP2 in tandem will allow you to accomplish this with relative ease. Is it in a city, can you not move out a few thousand blocks away? How about a whitelisted server? I have yet to be greifed on one, and I've never been farther than 3,000 blocks from an area (purely for the purpose of finding a good biome :p).

Indeed, without mystcraft this alone makes it tricky (unless you build in the end, around an asteroid).

Sure, you could wall in the base with three thicknesses of warded stone. You could make a smaller base in the nether (1:8 scale) in all the places where a portal could be to link into your space.

But you must resist ever making a portal inside the base, as any portal placed within 64 blocks of your portal might try to link to one of the two sides of your base.
I don't even bother with vanilla portals, you can just use a mystcraft link book. They're too big, make a lot of noise, and spawn lots of pigmen while servers are up 24/7

"without mystcraft" means no linking books though.
If you have mystcraft and the linking book, the problem of having to secure a 2nd base in the nether goes away.
Oh, didn't see that.
But even in a griefing and raiding server, I've never seen anyone do that.
But, of course, it's all about prevention ;)

jumpfight5 you are correct, I seem to have over reacted to some one I find abrasive, for this I apologize to the forum readers & to the person in question, I make no excuse, it was not a bad day, I was not drunk, I over reacted is about all there was to it, this is not normal for me & I will make sure it does not happen again, I will not check to see what the ignored content is, I do not wish to promote this any further than it has gone, I can only apologize again.
