Is there a Buildcraft Energy storage device?

I'm surprised nobody mentioned the new BC mechanics with power pipes. Figure out how much storage you'd like and divide it by diamond or other pipe capacity. Then make pipe loops where you like. It will never explode due to the new mechanics and will have no loss. You could potentially make a giant power ring around your base even, all machines tapping from the nearest point.
I am starting to think the ingrained BC power pipe explosions will take a while to filter out of BC best practices.

Different pipes allow different amounts of power. Just make sure the actual pipe going into the machine is something that will never cause it to explode. So you make a loop out of diamond or gold piping and then run from that loop to the machines but have pipes coming off the main line that go to the machines. IE stone or quartz.and then buildcraft machines receive powertiers like IC2 machines and if you pump too much power into a machine it'll go *POOF* alongside a big part of your base

It did not lag when I did it. Also, the behavior is well known to the Buildcraft maintainers. I doubt that it's an exploit (especially since it doesn't even work reliably).
IMO the best method of storing MJs in 1.6.4 is Ender IO's capacitor. Hands down. I love em.
