I am playing the FTB Ultimate 1.1.0 pack with my wife on a personal server. If redpower is removed, will we have to restart? I just started getting deep into bee and tree breeding and going to start a quarry (not to mention all the GT/IC2 stuff I need to use to deal with the influx of cobble w/o void pipes) I can move over to BC for setting up since I use TE to process MOST of my stuff.

Honestly I want to build cool stuff, and I don't wanna have to start over... again.

Is anything going to be done to help deal with the missing RP blocks and RP items in boxes? I'm not a fan of giant holes in my world and missing Nickolite, Marble and Basalt will cause me some issues.

so my question is, should I keep working at it, or should I just fill my houses with TNT and set it off?

Well it depends do you have micro blocks? if so those will be gone if your sorting system is tube related its gone as well and of course any red power red stone items and blocks will be gone so it all comes down to personal preference you could use AE for a unique and awesome sorting system and I believe immbis has some micro blocks and the lack of red power red stone could cultivate ingenuity.

Well, the pipe system is about to be replaced with Buildcraft, but I'll give AE a look over, there's also Factorization. something that handles items into machines as good as buildcraft.

As for microblocks, I could care less. I just used them to cover/RP tubes.
I THOUGHT there was a redwire replacement, but eh....
I'm more worried about the big giant hols, and lava spires and gaping holes in my jungles...

I'm getting the feeling I need to start a 1.5.x world if I wanna continue in FTB... and I got aura bees and all my thaumcraft research and 19 alveasies, started in GT...

I was playing FTB to NOT have to restart again....

/whine off

Oh well, the wife likes digging anyway.

I'm with you. I wish they would stop breaking my worlds. I'm tired of starting over. I wish I could keep my worlds going. If I put them all together, it would be a city by now. I still haven't even explored all the mods yet. I know it's not the mods faults. The huge changes to MC the last few patches make it tough. Maybe one of our brilliant mod authors could write a world migration mod.... ;)

I think a lot of people are in the same boat as you are, Daemos. As soon as there's mention of an imminent world-breaker update, everyone just tends to stop what they're doing and wait for the reset.

You could continue your current world and wait for the next patch beyond the imminent one, where RP2 may make it's return .. but if you want to play with the new stuff and the updated mods then I don't think you can avoid a reset.

Well, for me i just did a little mod. I've created basalt and cobblestone, used the same textures, the same data.. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand, the same id's. And im using that to fill the holes made by not having RP2 anymore. (but i do miss the volcanoes generation u.u i don't know how to make something like that :S)
