...copy a bunch of chests (around 7 diamond ones) to a new world?

I tried using McEdit, and am not the best at it but exported the chests from one world into another but it didn't work. Instead one of the huge trees in the biome was changed into a bunch of sticky pistons for leaves...

Any ideas?

MCEdit doesn't play well with mods unfortunately. Probably the easiest way is to turn NEI into cheat mode for a while and give yourself all the items you want to copy.

You could try to get your old world into a Mystcraft dimension too, but that could also cause problems, depending on what versions of some mods you used in both.

@Slay_Mithos great idea, but it's too late sadly. I ended up taking screenshots of all 7 diamond chests and spawning in the items I had.

I do not get attached to worlds or stuff in them. I prefer to just make a clean start ... it forces you to be creative to not have that safety net of stuff stockpiled up.

But to each there own.

But as a side a trick I've seen is Enderchests. Basic put your stuff in enderchest (personal or public) Then copy out the folder EnderStorage. Make your new world drop the EnderStorge folder in there. Spawn the chests (and color code as needed) and like magic your loot will be waiting for you.
