Is it just me?

I started a new world today on the latest FTB 1.5.2 pack. I swear I cannot find any aluminum ore to save my life. I found about 3 pieces at around Y=19, but I haven't found any more. On my 1.4.7 world I have over 100 stacks of this ore. What gives? It's almost as rare as diamonds. Anyone else experiencing this?

Ore berries are a nice solution. If you're looking around as much as you say you are, you should have plenty of them.

The Aluminum from 1.4.7 FTB is from XyCraft, in 1.5.2 packs there is no XyCraft. The aluminum is from Tinkers Construct. That means that there is different spawn rate of the ores. If you mine for a few hours you should have enough to last you until end game.

I will. Also, while were on the topic of TC, what is the best way to get mass amount of Ardite and Cobalt? I see more of it higher up than lower. My question is what is the best level for it?

I noticed that it was pretty evenly spread out. Just walk around for a while. Try to get 25 of each, you'll never need to get more.
