Whether it's used or not it's still an update. And have you guys not seen the new tool that imprints the texture of any block onto Construction Foam blocks?

Seriously? That's pretty awesome. What FTB really needs is more ways to build stuff that's actually pretty. We have a lot of 'tech' stuff, we need more stuff that lets us hide the tech stuff :D

Yeah but I meant stuff that's 'in the packs'. For our server using a custom pack is currently not an option I'm afraid.

Jepp Railcraft becomes something like a Make-Stuff-Pretty Mod :p I like to use Infernal and Sandy Bricks to blend my Coke Ovens/Blast Furnaces into a Wall, but some of the new Stairs, Fences, Bricks etc. are even cooler.

And I think Natura is most likely in the next pack, same goes for Biomes of Plenty and Extra Utilities and since it is about "future" we are not talking about 1.4.7 packs.

MFR also has a couple decorative blocks on its own. However I think that the most important would be Immibis' Microblocks. While some mods (Forestry or Railcraft) add stairs and slabs, other (Natura, MFR) leave it out. Also microblocks add a lot more possibility than vanilla slabs/stairs and work with most of the cables/pipes from mods (I don't know what is the status of TE support now, but hopefully it is/will be fixed).

Well yes, but since an RP2-Update is in the making it wouldn't take that long. And I think Natura might give the opportunities for stairs and slabs in the future too. And TE should work with facades from BC, so you don't really need microblocks for this, but actually Facedes are a bit problematic with their texture-detection (XyCraft as an example). Which is why some of the newer modblocks aren't avaible as facades.

RP2 microblock system uses only vanilla and RP2 blocks and if how they are stored on disk is any indication to how they are written, then it would require rewrite to make them compatible with blocks from other mods. With so many other mods adding aesthetic blocks it gives you weird choice (either microblocks or other type of blocks) which can be avoided by using Immibi's Microblocks. PowerCrystals specifically recommended them as a response on question whether stairs/slabs will be added to MFR. TE doesn't work with facades on my installation (BC 3.5.3 and TE 2.4.1.0), it is AE that does.
