Is Fire spreard turned off?

I am trying to burn down a forest in my world. I am OP and run the server on my PC. I light the whole base of these huge forestry looking trees and it will just like burn that block and then stop or maybe jump to the block next to it then stop. Not at all rapidly multiplying like it does on the Vanilla minecraft. Is it turned off or is there maybe a mod I need to light the whole place up?

Try running the command: "/gamerule doFireTick true"

I did this and fire still doesn't spread. This is very odd.

ummm... thats doesn't sound like a bug the way you explained it... can you record the fire somehow and post it?

Fire spread in my experience is not that large.
