I think that before asking anyone for help, you would need to prove that you (and your current team) are up to the task.
Not that I would like to join, but so far, it seems like a project on paper alone, so people that could have the ability won't know how far you are, how much you managed to accomplish, and what is needed from them (code, models, gameplay ideas?).
I only say that for you, as I personally would be more interested by a defense mod than a robot one, but please also remember to have fun making the mod itself.

Isn't not being able to do something a perfectly valid reason to ask for help ?
It is, but the thread states 2 coders and 1 for textures, in addition to the coder/leader, so I doubt they would have nothing, or would not be able to do anything.
Well, that said, it's their project, not mine, so they can also completely disregard my advice, I won't mind.
