Bug Iron nugget not craftable

Okay so there's a thing happening. I have a modified version of FTB lite3, most of the modifications include adding Openblocks, tinkers construct, and magical crops, as well as removing progressive automation. An issue with thermal foundation has made it such that when I try to craft an iron ingot into nuggets, it produces 9 pulverized iron instead. Obviously, this isn't intentional and it's very easy to abuse (not gonna lie: I've gotten a few stacks of iron blocks from it) but it makes me feel a little...dirty. It doesn't work with, say, gold-- but gold nuggets are in vanilla minecraft, so I'm not sure. Wondering if anyone has any experience with these issues. I can use iron oreberries since they ore dictionary to the nuggets, so it's not a huge deal. If anyone has any ideas, let me know. I've tried reinstalling thermal foundation and it didn't fix anything
