So I have this very annoying bug with iron chests, where they seem to rapidly flick back and forth between two different facings
Here is a quick video that shows the visual bug

I think it might have something to do with an "old north" and "new north" (one of the settings in REI's minimap)
The video shows that all the chests flick towards the same direction, and the one chest in that direction doesnt move at all

Not really a fix. But for some reason I found My chests that were aligned in a certain diretion did this whilst others did not.
A bit like how placing train track always tries to align a certain way when it has 2 choices of which way to connect.

Worth trying out. Might be a workaround by just putting chests on another wall at a 90 degree angle. ie: instead of facing north facing east for example.
Also there seems to be no ryme or reason as to when they start doing this. For example they can sometimes be set off by using an engine.
A restart often sorts it for a time.

If anyone has any info about this bug I would be interested too. I guess the reason it's so hard to sort out is it's one of those bugs that's not 100% reproducable.
Sometimes it does it and other times not.

Must admit though untill now I didn't realise optifine was the culprit.

I know that there is a certain position where the chests dont glitch, (the first chest in my video) and i probably will just move them around, as my mc runs much faster/better with optifine
