FTB Launcher version: v1.0.5
Minecraft Version: 1.4.2
Java version: Mac 1.6
Detailed description of the issue / how can the issue be recreated: I downgraded my Minecraft to 1.4.2 and re-downloaded the FTB launcher. Every time I go to Login it says "Login Failed due IOException" The servers say they are fine but still it does not let me log in.
Error logs: http://pastebin.com/MW3BZwzn

What's the filepath to your launcher file?
It's a long shot but i believe it might be caused by the underscore in your username.
Could you move it to a folder that isn't in under your user name and see if that helps?
Like making a folder directly on your harddrive, calling it something without special characters (including spaces), for example just calling it "FTB".
And then downloading the launcher from the FTB page again and trying to launch it from that folder.

I have a folder on my desktop that I placed the ftb jar in and then launched it from that file. Underscore? There is no underscore in my username.[DOUBLEPOST=1353110521][/DOUBLEPOST]And about the password yes I am sure. I reset my password just to make sure.

I ment in you username on your computer not your minecraft user name.
I've barely used macs at all so don't know how it works there, but for windows a file that is on your desktop in reality have the filepath "C:\Users\[your user name]\Desktop".
But the ftb launcher should handle underscores anyway i guess so it doesn't matter :)

So lets try a more proven method of getting it working! :p
Try the steps shown in this thread, seems to be quite a miracleworker for mac users.
It is known that the mac launcher does not work, minecraft crashes on launch.

To fix it run
Code:
export JAVA_HOME=/System/Library/Frameworks/JavaVM.framework/Versions/1.6/Home
in terminal just before launching the launcher from terminal.
