Fixed: Firewall issues.

I have been having this problem with FTB where I can not log in, it keeps giving me an IOException and says the servers may be offline or something. It works perfectly fine from my computer at work, but on my home computer I constantly get this error. I have tried uninstalling and doing a complete reinstall of both FTB and Minecraft, I have tried rebooting my comp in between each step mentioned above in different orders. I have installed Java 6 instead of Java 7 (which I had before hand and I was still getting the problem).

Anyone know what my problem may be?

Does standard minecraft work? Is your firewall + anti-virus set to allow minecraft/FTB?

Regular minecraft works perfectly fine (as demonstrated by the Minecraft client in the picture). I haven't really messed with my AV or Firewall, my firewall is set pretty low and my AV doesn't really block access to sites.
When I get home I'll try to either confirm or deny whether or not either are actually the cause of it.

Try using the jar launcher instead of the exe launcher. I've had a few problems with the exe launcher, and switching to the jar launcher fixes it.

I have fixed the problem, Zonealarm was out of date and for some reason that prevented the FTB client from accessing the internet.
I didn't have to fix permissions, I only had to update the software to the newest version:confused:

Thanks for your help ladies and gents, I didn't think my firewall would be the cause of it. It never asked for a confirmation on whether I wanted to allow or deny the program access to the internet.
