Inventory goes dark?..

Just nicely getting into my first FTB world and now when I use the text window to refine the item display my inventory goes dark and stays that way until i remove all the text. Did i change a setting or something cause it never did it before.

p.s Chest and furnaces do it too

Its normal. Highlights what your filtering out. Should you have the same item in your inv it will be normal shade. Not sure when it started doing that, but its been working that way since I used the other mod-pack. Works the same in both mod packs.

It's from NEI, double left-click on your NEI search bar to toggle modes and the yellow border and the graying out will go away. When NEI is in the yellow border mode it lets you search inventories (chests, your inventory etc.) for items.

hmm right clicked on bunch of stuff couldn't get rid of the the yellow border mode but a least i know the cause now. Thanks
