Summary of the problem Invar alloying

What is the bug? I'm on version 1.5.3, but I couldn't select that in the report form.
The smeltery doesn't allow alloying nickel with iron to make Invar. Pretty much every other FTB modpack I've played has allowed this, so this is probably a bug.

Is it repeatable? Yes, it's a very static problem.
Known Fix I can only make invar by grinding nickel and iron, then combining the dusts, then smelt the invar blend.
