Details of the issue so when i login with just the user name i cant get on MP servers. when i try with my email i get the following error

Invalid credentials recieved for user:
[email protected]: com.mojang.authlib.exceptions.InvalidCredentialsException: Invalid username format. Username must have between 4 and 16 and alphanumeric characters. Underscore is allowed.

I can login to vanilla launcher and MP servers no problem with this as well as minecraft.net and mojang. I am NOT using a cracked launcher. I've tried clearing, exiting the launcher, re-entering info and am sure its right, and repeating many times.

Any ideas? PS-thats not my real email, but it is just letters and 8 characters long.
