There's alot of threads and even whole sites showcasing many minecrfat architectural designs. But I have yet to see a designated gallery for interiors. With Bibliocraft, Jammy's & Crayfish' furniture mods, microblocks etc etc, I think some FTB interiors can be pretty amazing. I like seeing how other people setup their machines and all the different systems, but I also like seeing some cozy houses with uniuqe furniture. Bookcases built into your stairs ? neat ! Can we start a thread like that here ? I will get us started: I don't have a house yet, but here's my Warehouse's interior with JABBA & Better Storage Crates using microblocks for shelves.

Before automated sorting, I use Better Storage, Jabba and Iron Chests with signs and Bibliocraft labels to sort out all my stuff

I do like these "aesthetic" threads poping-up here and there... ;)
Warehouse looks great btw. Cant wait for more content in this thread.
Thanks. I have been obsessed with interiors lately, but I need some inspiration. I really like seeing many different peoples' build style, even when they aren't even trying to build aesthetically sometimes. Just seeing how they setup machines and stuff is interesting. I really want to see some epic houses using microblocks, chisel, carpenters blocks and some furniture mods though. Surely someone has some amazing stuff they'd like to share ???

I'd post on here- but I appear to be one of the few Minecraft players without OCD....
But despite that fact, I was playing a modpack with a friend a while back, and I got some of it on tape. It's a pretty minimalistic style, with just some glass panes and machines, but it was the only time when any of my Minecraft houses looked organized. Normally there is cable running uncovered through the floor, the walls are made of all different materials, and there are random chest lying about hooked up by storage buses... My Agrarian Skies world was a nightmare (final death caused by falling into the void after slipping between a ME cable and a Energy conduit.)
(House starts at 1:26)
The only reason this one looks nice is because my friend forced me to.

Thats actually pretty cool. I'm much more interested in a functional realistic player home built in survival than those waaaay over the top massive creative builds all over youtube and Google Image. Not saying that you can't build stuff like that in survival, but alot more often people tend to build something functional in survival, then add on to it, then rebuild it to look a little nicer, or add a mod, etc etc. I just find that way more interesting and not too over the top. A simple kitchen with finer details interests me more than a giant 1:50 scale Taj Mahal or something. Hence why I started this thread. And the intricate things we can do in minecraft NOW, with all of these crazy mods we have, I think the days of being wowed by giant buildings have passed, for me at least. That's not to say I don't look through what Voxel Box's different regions are up to once in a while and think: "Wow, that's pretty amazing."

On mine I used many aqueducts and just general water-y stuff. Mostly because I like boats.

I would like to ask for help with one particular part of interior design. I am looking for futuristic/modern luxury couch made with any mods. Something extravagant suitable for huge yacht. (i am not interested in lame furniture mods) thanks in advance

Here's some Ars Magica/Bibliocraft stuff from a while back

This isn't interior but I thought I'd throw it in as well. A steampunk-esque base with a MJ producing water wheel under construction

The tall flat tower was my future(at that time) airship landing pad. I eventually used redstone logic gates from Project Red to make "flashing" red and green cage lamps in the corners of the landing pad. lol. Wish I had that pic. That world is gone though sadly... *sigh*. No worries though, my current two custom setups are by far my favorites of all time. With alot of config altering and Minetweaker well...tweaking, I have my dream pack for myself...And hopefully today is the day I finally get a new (FAST) machine so I can finally come out of no connected textures and tiny render distance and add back some bigger mods like Biomes O' Plenty or something...My brother can have his Mac back, and I will once again never see daylight for months at a time...Awwww, FTB, Minecraft and a new PC...misanthropy and mining... Good thing I locked down my love life before I knew minecraft existed or I would have one...lol...

I dont want to insult anyone but i think that you have enough "not-nice"(ugly) builds around... I guess we have to encourage players instead of showing the worst we created. FTB is like 1% of minecraft community universe with at least "some" nice builds.

Tartarus.. I mean at work. Same thing really.
'Inside' and 'Outside' tend to blur a little... sometimes, its inside but I don't have a roof so its outside? A mountain inside the engine room would be interior or exterior design?

As with actual interior- sometimes its worthwhile messing with people. (Take a closer look at the pool).

Sig these are very good! You have a talent at design and build execution.
I myself like to use as much microblocks as possible to ensure I get a very large amount of space inside from a small looking house on the outside! :p

lol, Direwolf isn't much for aesthetic building, he said so himself, but he makes alot of functional stuff.

The idea of turning real life architecture into Minecraft architecture isn't new, but it's usually famous stuff I see. What you have there CompassRose is very well executed and original IMHO. I really like the recess lighting and modern style.

And Phoenix, great point about blurring the lines between interior and exterior, that too is some pretty original stuff there. Bringing plants inside is something I like doing, making sort of indoor zen gardens, like a man made pond and such in the middle of a factory...lol.

And Real, I too tend to use Microblocks, but more for outlining and accenting things, sort of like door and window frames sometimes like Compass did, or like support beams, both vertically and horizontally. If you get the chance post your screens too if you want

Thanks for all the response guys, I like seeing other people's work for inspiration. I got my new comp over the weekend so the next quality buildings I produce, I'll post here.

I would post, but I seem to have lost all my screenshots for some of them. :p
And I won't be starting a new world until 1.7.
