Inspiration for a worn-out player

So, I've been playing modded mc for a LONG while now, at least since beta 1.2, but all of a sudden I've lost the touch. The touch? It is the drive that forces you to play, the thing that makes you think of what contraption you are going to build when you get home rather than listen to what the lecturer is saying...
So, what I ask of you fellow FTB'ers, is for motivational storyies, pictures and whatnot to try spark my imagination, to try get me to have that drive to play FTB again rather than owning up noobs on LoL.. XD
IF you succeed in this challenge, then keep a lookout for the base threads, as I shall invade them by FORCE.
P.S Added a poll, just cuz YOLO.

Edit: And maybe suggest a few ideas on how i could accomplish my OP

on your edit: think of a project, something you've never done before, and do it. Make a castle, replicate a building from RL, breed a certain bee, automate a certain function. Etc.

Ty for that, just hoping this thread gets more popularity, might not just get me playing, might give ideas to other people as well.
And to your hate of the word veteran: "person who has had long service or experience in a particular occupation or field" I guess this applies to me but hey ho!

Lol, very true, but i guess it could be considered as a field as it is a sandbox game, but i'm rambling now. HA HO! :D

Well, technically an occupation is simply a way to spend time. It CAN be a profession, but it can also be something like fishing or gambling.

If you're worn-out playing Minecraft, play/do something else for a while. No need to force yourself to stick with it if you aren't having fun. Go for a run, see a movie, whatever. If you feel like returning to FTB afterwards, great. Otherwise, it's not like there's some kind of penalty for not playing it forever.

If you don't want to do something else, you might try going to the city nearest you to look at the buildings for inspiration. If you see a cool structure, imagine how you might reproduce it in the game. Or hit the Youtube and see if you can't glean some inspiration from other players.

And yeah, I'd suggest just playing something else. Or doing something else.

I went and played games that repressed any and all creative urges. A few days of those (they were enjoyable games, but very different from MC) and you'll want that freedom back.

Been trying other games for a while, got a bunch of friends who play a range of MMO's and MMRPG's and what have you,
Mainly been playing LoL and have recently made a pixel art of teemo :D

Edit: Going to sleep now, cya all in mornin

Mmm, i play since INFDev, xD Beat that! xD I left Minecraft 2 times, for a month and 2 weeks the second time. Then i wash fresh, maybe you can try that :p

Btw, what made me come back last time was that i started playing Age of Empires again, and wanted to replicate the buildings :p

I find that watching some creativemode vanilla timelapses help a bit. Seeing great builds make me think about the function I could add to them with FTB. Most builds in FTB are function-based, but I like to reverse it and have function come second.

For me nothing helps to inspire me to keep playing when I'm worn out. Watching Etho or the other Mindcrackers sort of inspires me to start the game back up but then I quickly lose interest again.

Though I have noticed that time helps a lot! I mean just stop playing for a long time and then all of a sudden that feeling will hit you that you want to play and build something cool again.

Heh, with this time thing, I've been not playing for about a month now, and still want to storm the base threads with pictures of a new base.
Have found a way to respark my innovation (right word?) and that is making a new world and sticking with it, but carrying a few things from previous world which i limmited to an inventorys worth. Been playing for a while now, but havent progressed much and havent even got an iron pick but still have a 60x100 house XD
I focus wayyyy to much on aesthetics :D
