For the first time I am getting into Bees. I am using the Inoculator to apply nocturnal traits to some of my bees. I am using 16 charged highest quality serums, which take forever to make. The problem is, bees are suppose to go to the bottom slots when they are done.. but mine don't always, or maybe i'm not understanding the machine.

After 1-2 serums, the bee always says nocturnal under it. However the machine constantly runs the serum 2-3 more times on the already nocturnal bee before moving it down. 16 charges only did 3 bees for me.

Why is this?
Is it safe to manually remove the bee after it says Nocturnal to save on charges?

Thanks.

The Innculator makes sure it has that trait for both active and inactive. It will say it is nocturnal because it has a active nocturnal trait and needs to apply it to inactive (thus why it runs it a few more times).

Removing the bee as soon as it changes will mean that any off spring may not get the nocturnal trait if it ends up getting the inactive gene

The machine tries to change both the active and the inactive traits.

The fact that you see "nocturnal" and the bee still is not going to the bottom slot means that the inactive trait is not nocturnal yet.

The whole thing is based on random, so it could potentially use your 16 charges and not fully change the bee (I had to use 10 charges on a single bee sometimes).

EDIT: @vike dominant/recessive (red/blue font) is different than active/inactive (first or second column).
