Infinity Evolved Won't get past phase 2 of 7 on startup

  • Tech Support section is for getting help with FTB related problems. If there's a repeatable issue that can be labeled as a bug, then please use the issue tracker for the pack or the app at GitHub issue trackers - If there's no repository for a pack that means that the pack is old and/or will not be updated. Bugs for older packs will not be fixed, unless they are critical.

Details of the issue So I have been trying to fix a different problem where my game would freeze randomly but, oddly still be running. Just the screen of it would freeze. Anyhoo, recently after restarting my computer cause I thought maybe I had to update my Java(Learned that with Native Launcher that is pointless) and had to restart just incase. Well after that I tried getting on the modpack and it won't get past phase 2 of 7 in loading. I've tried disabling Splash which did nothing and various other problems. I have concluded it is only with mod packs using 1.7.10 forge cause I can use something like Crash landing just fine.

You are running out of memory. I'm not sure how much system ram you have but there conflicting memory arguments for Java. And it is picking the 524M as the one to go with. Also, on side note do not allocate over 4GB to Java for a mod pack. It looks like you tried to allocate 8GB which is way to much and will actually make the performance worse.

  1. Java VM Version: Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (mixed mode), Oracle Corporation
  2. Memory: 25250416 bytes (24 MB) / 522715136 bytes (498 MB) up to 522715136 bytes (498 MB)
  3. JVM Flags: 5 total; -XX:HeapDumpPath=MojangTricksIntelDriversForPerformance_javaw.exe_minecraft.exe.heapdump -Xmx8192m -Xms256m -XX:permSize=256m -Xmx524M

Ok after taking the command line off that was causing the 512M and restarting my computer it has fixed the problem. Thanks so much for your help Henry. :) I could of sworn I took that command line off but, I must of missed it somehow. You were alot of help to me.
