Hello,

at first thanks for all the great work to the mod devs, making Minecraft much more attractive and fun!
I'm pretty new to minecraft modding, so please be gentle if I ask a dumb question ;)

I've been playing Tech World 2 on MC 1.6.4 quite a while back and loved it. I want to start a new world with some of the classic tech mods. Since Tech World 2 hasn't been updated I installed Infinity Evolved on 1.7.10. I really liked Rotary Craft back then and wanted to try GT.
Since these mods are not included in the modpack and can't be installed via the Curse launcher, I downloaded the .jars for GT 5 unofficial, RC, DragonAPI, Reactorcraft, Electricraft and dropped them manually in the mods folder. I found on different threads that Dense Ores and AOBD had to be deactivated for the use of GT 5. For RC I had to deactivate Witchery (ID errors). Now my game starts properly, however it takes about 6-7 min to load. I know GT is known to have long loading times.

My questions:

1. I'm a little worried that RC didn't make it to the Infitiny modpack. Maybe there's a specific reason of incompatibility? I want to make sure if I start playing, everything will work out fine and there won't occur any gamebreaking problems later on. Especially with the GT grind restarting the world would be very disappointing. So do you think my mod config will work out fine?

2. Is there any way to decrease the loading time? I tried to remove some of the more magic themed mods, to make the installation more "slim" but there where always some errors then. Is it even worth it or is it just GT contributing the most to loading times?

Thanks alot guys!

Unless something has changed recently GT will be the cause of your massive load times. With regards to Rotarycraft being left out of the Infinity pack, while I wasn't involved at the time this is likely due to a number of different factors, of which I highly doubt compatibility was one.
