The pack for all people. Infinity is the general all-purpose pack from the FTB team that is designed for solo play as well as small and medium population servers.
This pack contains Fastcraft, by Player. Fastcraft enhances Minecraft with increased performance. Bug reports being made directly to Mod Authors should state Fastcraft is enabled.

Why the pack don't have a better description?

And one thing I don't understand, why they point that "warning" about Fastcraft been in the pack? What that mean?

Its a kitchen sink modpack. Which is all purpose a lil bit of everything for anyone. Fast craft helps with some rendering problems in 1.7.10. Its enabled by default now so you don't have to enable it yourself.

Fastcraft was for long not allowed shipped with modpacks. I think that warning is a condition of getting permission to do so.

That and I don't think your worlds work if you remove it, I think it does some hacking of some fundamental guts of Minecraft.
My simplistic knowledge of what it is is that it adds code from 1.8 in to 1.7.

As for the description of the mod pack; What exactly is deficient about it? It's a all purpose pack, in truth mentioning that it can be played in SSP and SMP was actually redundant.
What could have been added that describes it better? Mentioning the mods in the description is pointless too as there is usually a mod list right under it.

Oh ok, now I have a better idea on what Fastcraft do.

Dunno, for Pack description, I guess you right, it's an All purpose pack, so probably not much to say. I guess it's on the players where they go, if going tech, or more adventure or building, I think the pack as it is, it can be used for everything, so yes maybe it makes sense the short description.

I guess it's only on more specifics packs that you need more detailed description about where the pack ir going.
