Infernal Hives

So I have been flying around the nether for about 2 hours and cannot find any infernal hives. Is there a trick to finding them?

Nope.... just keep looking. I usually have more luck right above lava lakes. But I've found them in caves higher up in the nether as well.

This is also one of the reasons I dislike terrain gen mods in the nether. Makes something like these hives even harder to find. And I know this is drifting off topic a little, but I really do fail to understand the love some people have for BoP. I really dislike that mod.
