So I decieded to take some screens of my underground base and upload it.

Please tell me what you think about the building style. I really like it.

Looks very nice. I especially like how you chose one theme and sticked to it. The only thing that does not appeal me is the usage of so many MPS lights.
By the way, what's that brick you used for the ceiling and some walls?

Looks pretty good, if a bit repetitive. Either theres a lot of hazard areas in your base or someone just likes those stripes. But honestly, its really not hard to do rusty industrial themed builds. Those chisel blocks pretty much do all the work for you. Especially considering you are building underground where all you have to do is carve rooms and dress them up. Im not knocking you, its a really fun way to play. Trying to cram all the pipes and tubes into a building without making a mess can be a nightmare but underground its so easy.

I've really never used the chisel striped blocks except in an airlock I made in my old monster base on the end. I quite like them here, if only yellow and black stripes weren't the universal sign for danger and caution :p

Looks very clean and industrial - well done!

I would replace the dirt in the wall in the arboretum with something else. And maybe some random machinery here and there - it's too empty ;) (boxes are placed well though)

Yeah, for you question about the building style: good job

Sorry for the late reply but I was a little bit busy.

The only thing that does not appeal me is the usage of so many MPS lights.

I think they are ok but if you know a better way to keep the rooms light up let me know.

By the way, what's that brick you used for the ceiling and some walls?

The bricks I used are the "wide stone brick" variant from the chisel mod. In general most of the blocks I used are from the chisel mod. Then I used the microblocks saw on them.

Either theres a lot of hazard areas in your base or someone just likes those stripes.

Indeed I really like the stripes. I think they add colour to the area but I didn't think about the fact that they are meant to mark danger zones. => My whole base is very dangerous

Looks cool, but tell me; are the "fences" made of microblocks?

Yes they are chiseled glas microblocks (again from chisel mod)

I would replace the dirt in the wall in the arboretum with something else. And maybe some random machinery here and there - it's too empty

That area was just unfinished. Look at the new pictures. I thought about placing some random machines here and there and connect them to the me system. I maybe try that soon.

That looks really awesome!

Thanks a lot! I never thougt I would get this much reply. So I kept on building an here are some new pictures:

Yes, yes and yes!
Very nice indeed.

I like:
  • The implementation of AE controller + ME Drive
  • Glass hallway with cave (or something) besides it
  • And especially the support frame for the ME Molecular Assembler Chamber!

For lights, I think Cage Lamps are perfect for ceilings or walls! (From Project Red: Illumination)
(the first link gives better pictures and the second is the wikipage for the mod)
Maybe some other lights from the mod as well, but especially the cage lamps.

I'm jealous of your creativity. I build 9 by 9s with minefactory reloaded floors and extra utility walls.

You can go with chiseled glowstone covers for lighting. Or Ender IO lights. I believe they do come in powered and non-powered versions.

And, your base looks really nice. :)

I love the base what is used for the floor?
Chisel 2's Factory block, chiseled to the Wireframe type.

I kinda like the base, but I really don't like the overuse of those striped blocks. Also, please make a backup, remove the forge microblocks mod and show us your base then xD

Oh btw, for the light, maybe Glowstone coloured via EnderIO's Painting machine?
