So my quarry is almost finished would I need more than one MFE to keep it charged and how many normal solar panels would i need.

You power the quarry using BC energy, so you need some electrical engines+enough solar panels/any EU generators to do it. Though If I'm going to use quarry I'd use bio gas engines+biomass, it's easier that way.

Yes, use the hobbyist's steam engine unless you want to set up a full boiler system. You'll need to supply it with fuel though. If you ask me plain old electrical engines are the easiest way to power your quarry. You can run three off a single advanced solar panel - 6MJ/t, but in the mean time just use your power source.
