Windows 8
8GB Ram
Java is up to date and Java 64 installed.

Having an extremly frustrating evening:

I've been running my own FTB yogcraft server fine until a few hours ago - i tried to set up a new vanilla server with 1.6 and had no luck - i think inedvertanly I have messed around with the Java pathways :(

i think i have fixed them now as i can boot the server up with default RAM allocation - 512 - 1G

HOWEVER

Whenever i try and increse ram allocation to 4G it now says ""java -Xmx4096M -Xms4096M -jar minecraft_server.jar"" is not recgonized as an internal or external command

yet it works fine if i change ram allocation back to 512, but obviously this is not enough. It was running fine only a few hours ago - any ideas on what I have done to mess it up? I have been trying to fix this for hours.

why would it work with 512 but not 4096 :\

any ideas?

thanks

I'm sure its a path error

I've tried reinstalling Java but this doesnt reset Path or CLASS Path to what it should be

at the moment i've copied the adress to java from the Program files drectory, is this right? I've followed umpteen youtube guides and not have worked....

what should the Path and classpath say for windows 8
