Improve performance on TPPI?

Hai guys, here is my question.

Is there any way to actually improve FPS/performance on TPPI aside from normal "setting on lowest possible" stuff? I dont seem to be able to get optifine to work with the pack (tried 7 different versions) and since ill have to play on my laptop for some time, i would like to find a way to raise it

I would appreciate any kind of help from the community

With packs of that size, the easy answer is to start ripping out mods.

Fast graphics then, not fancy. Minimal or no particles. Maybe someone will give you some cool Java arguments. Other than thatb I've got nothing.
