Hey FTB community,
I can't download any modpack, the bar goes to around 60% then breaks up, downloads some file around 940kb and then gives me the "Error downloading Modpack" message. Now let me explain why I said "impossible"
So: I've got a horrible connection (400kbit/s, around 45kb/s). The Mindcrack modpack (which I want to play) itself is 38mb big.
In some thread I read that Creeperhost kills any connection after 10 minutes. I tried it out, stopped the time, and it really stopps after 10 minutes. (tried it 3 times).
SO: Doing the math.
38mb = 38000kb
38000/45 = 844 seconds
844/60 = 14 minutes.
That means that it would take me 14 minutes to download, which is impossible since Creeperhost cancels it after 10 minutes.
I've searched the web for around an hour trying to find a link for the modpack. I was able to download the Mindcrack V6 pack earlier by putting the link, which I got from the FTB console, in my downloadmanager, which somewhy doesnt get canceled after 10 minutes.), but with the new version of the launcher, it doesn't show the links anymore. And there doesn't seem to be any links to find anywhere, not even in this forum.
That's why it's impossible for me to play FTB.... The latest versions at least.
My question now is, does anybody know a workaround or something similar that might work for me?
