Important older mods that aren't in FTB packs

I'm working on a modpack that is a compilation of important 1.4.7 mods. Obviously, I have the important FTB stuff. IC2, Buildcraft, etc, but I want to know if there's anything else that was really big around that time that wasn't in FTB. If you have any other mods for other versions. 1.5.2 or 1.6.4 would be very helpful too!

Looking at some of the older Technic Launcher packs might be a good source of mods that FTB didn't use. Tekkit Lite is actually on 1.4.7, Voltz is 1.5.2, and Tekkit Classic is 1.2.5 (some of the mods in there might have been updated).

Another mod from that era that comes to mind is Gregtech (I think FTB had that at some point as well, though).

You might be thinking of Yogscast Complete. That was based on Resonant Rise. Basically, iirc, after stuff with Tekkit not having permissions from modders and Tekkit being stuck on 1.2.5, they wanted to update and that's how the Yogspack was made. It was meant to be they're own update to Tekkit.
